Introduction

The Lübeck Cathedral, also known as the Cathedral of St. Mary, was built in 1173 and is the oldest cathedral in the region. It combines Romanesque and Gothic architectural styles. The cathedral stands at a height of 105 meters and houses many precious artworks, including a 17-meter-tall crucifixion group, created in 1477, which depicts figures from the Bible.
