Introduction

Mercedes-Benz Arena has a long history, built in 1933 and initially named Neckarstadion due to its close proximity to the Neckar River. In 1993, it was renamed Gottlieb-Daimler-Stadion and then Mercedes-Benz Arena in 2008. It has been the home stadium of the widely recognized Stuttgart team in the Bundesliga. The stadium represents the proud history of the people of Stuttgart and serves as a sports and cultural venue. Notably, in 1950, the first international match on West German soil after World War II took place here between Germany and Switzerland. On December 19, 1990, the stadium hosted the first international match after the reunification of East and West Germany, also featuring Germany against Switzerland. This historic moment is etched in the memory of the stadium. Additionally, Mercedes-Benz Arena has hosted significant events such as the UEFA Champions League final, concerts by the Rolling Stones, the 1974 and 2006 FIFA World Cups, the 1988 UEFA European Championship, and the World Athletics Championships.
