Introduction
Alster Lake is a lake in the city of Hamburg, divided into two sections by a bridge and a dam, namely the Greater Alster Lake and the Lesser Alster Lake. The outer lake has an area of 164 hectares and a depth of 4.5 meters, with lush vegetation along the lake shores. There is a hiking trail of approximately 7.4 kilometers around the outer lake, which is a favorite route for joggers. The area surrounding the Lesser Alster Lake is a bustling commercial district, with various German-style buildings complementing each other. Hamburg City Hall is located by the lake, creating a small and exquisite scenery that is favored by tourists. On sunny weekends, Germans love to sunbathe on the banks of the lake, particularly on the Jungfernstieg promenade.
