Introduction

The New Taipei City Golden Museum is located in Jinguashi, Ruifang District, New Taipei City. It is situated next to the Benshan Wukeng area, which used to be the largest gold mining area in Asia. The museum is a transformation of the former mining area and was established in November 2004 by the New Taipei City government, in collaboration with Taiwan Power Company and Taiwan Sugar Corporation.

Bus: (1) Taipei to Jinguashi: Take Keelung Bus (1062) from Taipei MRT Zhongxiao Fuxing Station (Exit 1, No.152, Fuxing S. Rd., Da'an Dist.) and get off at Jinguashi Bus Station via Ruifang and Jiufen. (2) Keelung to Jinguashi: Take Keelung Bus (788) from Keelung Train Station (Renxiang Clinic) via Jiufen and get off at Jinguashi Bus Station. Link: Keelung Bus Driving route: * Highway: Take National Freeway No.1 North towards Keelung, exit at Ruifang-NuanNuan Interchange, then take Provincial Highway No. 62 to Ruifang off-ramp, continue on Provincial Highway No. 2 towards Jiufen, then follow the signs to Jinguashi. It takes about 25 minutes from Ruifang-NuanNuan Interchange to the Gold Museum.
