Introduction

Budai is located in a natural harbor with abundant marine resources. Adjacent to the Jiannan Plain, it has promoted the early development of commercial ports. Starting from the Qing Kangxi period, Budai began trading with mainland China, earning the nickname "Winter Harbor". Later, salt became the main export commodity, making Budai a prosperous "Little Shanghai" port. In addition, Budai is also known for its romantic sunset views.

From Taipei, you can take the United Bus Line "Taipei-Dongshi-Budai Line" to Budai Station; or take a bus such as Kuo-Kuang, Aloha, and Jitong to Chiayi, and then transfer to a Chiayi Bus to Budai.
