Introduction

Danshui Fisherman's Wharf is located in Tamsui District, New Taipei City, situated on the right bank of the mouth of the Tamsui River. Formerly known as the Tamsui Second Fishing Port, it was completed in 1987. The eastern side of the port faces the Datun Mountains, while the western side is overlooked by Guanyin Mountain. It is renowned for offering the best views of the "Tamsui Sunset," admired worldwide. Recognized as a model fishing port by the Council of Agriculture in 1998, substantial investments were made to improve both the port's operations and the village's living environment, with a focus on promoting multifunctionality and developing it as a tourist destination. With its development and planning, Fisherman's Wharf has evolved into a high-quality park that combines fishing industry development with tourism and leisure activities. Today, yachts and fishing boats dock by the port, and various tourist activities are held here. Fisherman's Wharf has become a preferred destination for sightseeing and leisure activities in New Taipei City and is widely used as a filming location for advertisements.
