Introduction

Wuling Farm is located 53 kilometers from Taichung City along the Beiheng-Yilan Highway (Highway 7A). It was officially renamed Wuling Farm in 1963, formerly known as Wuling Development Zone under the Veterans Affairs Commission. Here, you can see a picturesque landscape of fields and taste high mountain vegetables, fruits, and tea (such as Qingxin Oolong). Each season offers its unique scenery - in spring, plum blossoms, cherry blossoms, peach blossoms, pear blossoms, apple blossoms, and azaleas bloom; in the summer and autumn, it is the harvest season for peaches, pears, and apples; in winter, if lucky, you can even taste the flavor of snow. Surrounded by mountains, Wuling Farm is home to several renowned mountains such as Pintian Mountain, Chiyou Mountain, Taoshan Mountain, and Karaoke Mountain, as well as Xueshan, Zhijia Yangdashan, and Luoyewei Mountain. As you enter the farm from Wanshou Bridge, you will hear the murmuring of the Qijiawan Creek in the Dajia River Basin. This is the birthplace of the national treasure fish Yingsakishimo Salmon. Strolling along the path through the pine forest lined with cypress trees, you will reach the center of the farm, with the three characters "Awakening Lion Garden" beside the silver giant lion, written by the national painting master Zhang Daqian. The Taoshan Waterfall (also known as the Yansheng Waterfall) is one of the most spectacular natural landscapes in Wuling Farm, standing at approximately 50 meters high and known as a scenic spot in Wuling. You can start from the cement road behind the Wuling Youth Activity Center and reach the waterfall via Wuling Suspension Bridge. From the mountain slope of Taoshan, you can have a panoramic view of the valley and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Wuling Farm. Wuling Farm has a pleasant climate throughout the year, with cool summers and not excessively cold winters. Protected by mountains, it has become an ideal vacation destination.
