Introduction

The Zhenlan Temple in Taiwan is a historic and influential Mazu temple. Every year in March, the Zhenlan Temple holds a grand celebration for the birthday of Mazu, with the most magnificent event being the "procession and pilgrimage". This event lasts for eight days and seven nights, crossing four counties and cities in Taiwan, passing through 21 towns and cities, and covering a total distance of 330 kilometers. Thousands of believers participate in the procession, not only on foot or on bicycles but also in various unique vehicles. Along the way, many believers provide free food, drinks, medical supplies, and massages, making this event one of the most important folk celebrations in Taiwan. If you have the opportunity, it is worth experiencing the religious enthusiasm of the people in Taiwan and trying the local delicacies on the west coast of Taiwan.
