Introduction

The Golden Museum Park began preparations in 2002 and officially opened on November 4th, 2004. As Taiwan's first ecological museum park, it preserves the precious natural, mining sites, landscape features, historical and cultural heritage, and humanities assets of the Jinguashi area. Walking through the park, you can appreciate the historical and cultural prosperity and decline of Jinguashi's mining industry, as well as the integration with the surrounding natural beauty. The park includes the "Mountain Five Mine Tunnels" for experiencing the hardships of miners, the "Environmental Museum" for understanding geological ecology and various mineral deposits, the "Taiji Hotel," a traditional Japanese-style building, and the "Golden Museum" which houses a 220 kg gold bar. Surrounding the park, there are also the Jinguashi Shrine, Mount Wulieh Tea Pot Mountain, and the International End of War Peace Memorial Park, which offer rich cultural and natural resources.
