Introduction

Taiwan Museum is located in the 228 Peace Memorial Park, a building constructed in 1915 and designated as a first-class historical site. This magnificent architecture combines elements of ancient Greek Doric columns and Baroque, showcasing the beauty of historical culture. Since the Japanese colonial period, it has served as a museum with a rich collection of Taiwanese cultural and natural artifacts. The permanent exhibitions are divided into sections dedicated to Taiwan's biology, indigenous peoples, history, ethnic groups, and geology. The museum's treasures include a statue of Zheng Chenggong, a map of Taiwan during the Kangxi Emperor's reign, and the Blue Field Yellow Tiger Flag, which are a must-see for anyone interested in Taiwanese history. Even if you are not interested in the exhibits, simply entering this magnificent building to appreciate its beauty can bring you a lot of joy. Across from the Taiwan Museum, the Former Bank of Taiwan Building is equally exciting. Built in 1933, it is a mysterious ancient Maya-style architecture, distinct from the Greek and Roman-style buildings designed by Japanese architects throughout Taiwan.
