Introduction

Yeliu is one of Taiwan's famous attractions, known for its rare natural landscape. The entire Yeliu scenic area unfolds along a cape, with the Yutan Mountain range extending into the sea, stretching about 1,700 meters long. It is renowned worldwide for its vast scale, abundant strange rocks, diverse formations, and rare occurrence. Various types of coastal erosion landforms, mushroom-shaped rocks, caves, and narrow capes are found on the rocky coast, making Yeliu a geological classroom and a paradise for unique rock formations. The most famous spot in Yeliu is the Queen's Head, which features a rock formation resembling a head, formed by the erosion and weathering of rocks. Its unique shape is memorable, although there is a possibility of sandstone weathering and falling. Every year on the fifteenth day of the lunar calendar, during the Lantern Festival, a special "Shenming Jinggang" ceremony is held in Yeliu, praying for the safe return of fishing boats at sea, making it a unique event in Taiwan. In addition, there are many seafood restaurants near the Yeliu Geopark, and those in the know will choose to enjoy delicious seafood at Guihou Fishing Port. The unique rock formations in the Yeliu Geopark are one of the wonders of the world, formed by the nearly perpendicular extension of the coastline direction with the direction of the strata and structural lines, as well as the influence of geological processes, resulting in unique landforms and geological landscapes. The distance from the entrance of the park to the end of the cape is about 1.7 kilometers, with the widest point being less than 300 meters. From the Jinguan Highway Yeliu Station to the end of the cape, it is about 2.4 kilometers long.
