Bopiliao Ancient Street, A timeless journey through preserved history
Lane 173, Kangding Road, Wanhua District, Taipei City

Introduction
This street is quite charming. Due to the slow administrative efficiency of the government, this century-old street was able to be preserved. In the 1970s, the government had planned to demolish it, but due to a series of reasons, it was delayed until the democratic era. When the government proposed the demolition plan again, the people launched protests and resolutely defended the existence of this street. After renovation and restoration, this old street has been revitalized, restoring its historical charm from the Qing Dynasty, the Japanese colonial era, and the period of Taiwan's recovery. Today, visitors can appreciate the well-preserved Qing Dynasty blocks and shops here, as well as experience the architectural features of the Japanese colonial period and Taiwan's recovery era.
