Sapa, A Misty Mountain Retreat with Cultural Mosaic
Sapa Ancient Rock Field, Sa Pa District, Lao Cai province, Vietnam
4.1
Introduction
Sapa is a town in the northern mountainous region of Vietnam, with an elevation of over 1600 meters, facing the highest peak in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, Fansipan. Some people have a strong preference for Sapa, while others find it meaningless. If you hurry through here, you may not feel the beauty of Sapa. However, when you slow down, let time flow, and enjoy a pot of coffee or a scoop of ice cream, you will discover that this place is completely different.
In the early 19th century, the French began to establish a resort area here based on their preferences for their living environment and style. The sun never hesitates to lavish its hospitality, shining through skylights, door cracks, and windows, adorning every corner of this town.
Here, you can walk along the streets, interact with local ethnic minorities who sell homemade handicrafts in fluent English and French. It's a distant cultural collision. Address Sapa Ancient Rock Field, Sa Pa District, Lao Cai province, Vietnam
