Introduction

Ba Dinh Square is located in the heart of Hanoi, adjacent to the picturesque Hoan Kiem Lake, and is a iconic landmark welcoming tourists. It is the most important venue for celebrations and gatherings in Vietnam, and has been regarded as a witness to Vietnamese history and culture. The square holds great historical significance, as it was here on September 2, 1945, that President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence. To the west of Ba Dinh Square stands the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, a place of remembrance for President Ho Chi Minh's achievements. Adjacent to it are his former residence and the Presidential Palace, which witnessed President Ho Chi Minh's political career behind the scenes. To the southwest is the Ho Chi Minh Museum, where precious historical artifacts and photos are exhibited, showcasing the life of the Vietnamese national hero. In front of the museum is the One Pillar Pagoda, an ancient temple with a unique architecture and one of Vietnam's traditional buildings. Ba Dinh Square blends seamlessly with its surrounding landscapes and is not only rich in historical and cultural heritage, but also a place for leisure activities for Hanoi residents. Here, you can enjoy the scenic beauty of the lake and mountains, savor local cuisine, and experience the history and cultural heritage of Vietnam.
