Introduction
Hoan Kiem Lake, located in the heart of Hanoi's Old Quarter, is elliptical in shape and surrounded by a tree-lined promenade, offering beautiful scenery. Although the lake is not very large, it takes less than an hour to walk around. Ngoc Son Temple is located in the northern part of the lake and the Tortoise Tower is in the southern part, both of which are important landmarks in Hanoi. The eastern to southern parts of the lake are clustered with French colonial buildings, including Ba Dinh Square and the Temple of Literature. On the western side of the lake, there is the traditional "36 Streets" of the Old Quarter, named after the products traded on each street, creating a vibrant atmosphere and a nostalgic feeling.
