Introduction

Bunaken National Marine Park is located on the east coast of North Sulawesi, Indonesia, consisting of five small crescent-shaped coral reef islands surrounded by coral walls, home to over 300 species of coral and over 3,000 tropical fish. Famous dive spots include Black Rock, Fukui, The Crack, The Lekuan Underwater Valley, and Sachiko's Point. Black Rock offers not only black rock walls but also symbiotic shrimp, emperor shrimp, sea hares, and fish; Fukui has gently sloping reefs with giant barrel sponges, Osima crabs, devilfish, and yellow-faced angelfish; The Crack has many corals and starfish, and butterflyfish, triggerfish, and birdfish can be spotted; The Lekuan Underwater Valley showcases classic fault landscapes with corals, small tropical fish, Seahorse, etc.; Sachiko's Point offers not only vertical reef walls but also pyramid butterflyfish, jacks, large fish, and emperor angelfish.
