Introduction

Gangaramaya Temple is a beautiful building that combines architectural features from Sri Lanka, Thailand, India, and China, and is one of the most important temples in Sri Lanka. The temple has a library, a museum, dormitories, and a three-story Buddhist college. The museum displays many tall Buddha statues, huge ivory, as well as treasures such as jewelry, Arhat's bones, golden rituals, ivory rituals, and so on. Buddha statues from Japan, Myanmar, Thailand, China, and other places are also included. It is said that the most precious collection is a strand of hair from Buddha, which is often locked in a safe and not accessible to the public.
