Introduction
Cape Nagasaki is located in the southern part of Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan, and is the southernmost tip of the Satsuma Peninsula. Shaped like a triangle, this cape is the most famous among the cape names in Japan. A white lighthouse stands prominently on Cape Nagasaki, and from the observation deck, you can see the towering Mount Kaimondake to the west. With no obstructions, the mountain views from Cape Nagasaki are exceptionally beautiful. On clear days, you can also see the Gomura-dake on Yakushima Island and Iojima Island. There is a Japanese folk legend about Urashima Taro in the vicinity of Cape Nagasaki, so there is a Ryuugu Shrine dedicated to him.
