Introduction

Along the small path next to the Tangsu Market, it is easy to find the memorial hall and the Shunfan Building. This place carries deep sorrow in the hearts of the people, which is difficult to describe in words. The Shunfan Building is a three-story yellow building that still maintains the tradition of a "Kaiseki" inn. The memorial hall, on the other hand, has a relatively solemn atmosphere and exhibits a certain modern Japanese architectural style. Although admission is free and there are not many tourists, it carries a sense of unfamiliarity and dampness, which is not in line with the blue skies and seas of the Shimonoseki area. However, it cannot be denied that the Shunfan Building became a place for Japan to show off war achievements and acquire war spoils after the Sino-Japanese War. Unfortunately, it was ultimately destroyed by the flames of another war. The truth of history is lamentable.
