Introduction
Tottori Sand Dunes is located in the San'in Kaigan National Park and is Japan's largest tourist sand dune and a specially protected area. Designated as a natural monument by the Japanese government in 1955 and selected as one of Japan's top 100 geological sites in 2007. Standing at the top of the dunes, with a height difference of 90 meters, you can feel the sea breeze on your face and hear the sound of the waves crashing. Transportation Take a bus from JR Tottori Station to "Tottori Sand Dunes", which takes about 20 minutes to get there.
