Introduction

The architecture of the Okinawa Prefectural Museum & Art Museum located in Naha-shi is modern, with a white exterior and square grid design, resembling a castle. It is an important place to learn about Okinawan culture and history. The museum showcases Okinawa's nature, history, and culture through five exhibition rooms: natural history, archaeology, arts and crafts, folklore, and more. Additionally, the prefectural art museum exhibits various artworks, photography, installations, and other forms of art related to or inspired by Okinawa, with regular updates based on different themes. On the second floor, there are also special exhibitions, which require separate tickets. The author has visited a special exhibition on the life of Queen Marie Antoinette of France, Louis XVI's wife. Outside the exhibition area, there are commemorative items available for purchase related to the exhibitions.
