Introduction

Mount Maya is a mountain located in the vicinity of Kobe City, with cable car service to reach the mountaintop. The Kikuseidai observation deck is situated at an elevation of 700 meters on Mount Maya, offering a breathtaking view of the Kobe night scenery, known as one of the "Three Great Night Views of Japan". The name "Kikuseidai" comes from its excellent vantage point for stargazing, where one can almost reach out and pluck the stars from the sky.

Take the city bus No.18 at Sannomiya Station or JR Shin-Kobe Station, get off at Maya Cable Car Station, and then take the Maya Cable Car to "Niji no Eki". After that, take the Maya Ropeway and get off at "Hoshi no Eki". Since the No.18 bus only runs in one direction at Maya Cable Car Station, you need to take the No.18 bus to Hankyu Rokko or JR Rokkomichi Station for the return trip. Alternatively, you can take the No.102 bus from JR Rokkomichi or Hankyu Ōsaka-koen Station.
