Introduction
The Kobe Maritime Museum was established in April 1987 to commemorate the 120th anniversary of the opening of Kobe Port. The museum mainly focuses on the themes of "the sea, ships, and ports". The building is designed with a white frame, reflecting the shape of sails and waves. The green Mount Rokko and the red Kobe Port Tower create a striking contrast, leaving a deep impression on people. At night, it is illuminated with blue lights, becoming a symbolic landmark of Kobe Port. The museum showcases the superconducting electromagnetic propulsion ship "Yamato 1" and various ships from ancient times to the present, as well as the latest audiovisual systems such as multi-image 360-degree displays. In May 2006, "Kawasaki World" was opened next to the museum, introducing the technology and history of Kawasaki Heavy Industries in the fields of land, sea, and air. It is a place worth visiting.
