Introduction
Meriken Park is a waterfront park located near Kobe Port, adjacent to Kobe Tower and the Kobe Maritime Museum. It is a great place to enjoy the beautiful views of Kobe Harbor and also serves as a memorial park for the Great Hanshin Earthquake. The park preserves the remnants of the earthquake, such as damaged seawalls and tilted lampposts, offering a close-up look at the extent of the disaster.
