Introduction

Mt. Wakakusa is located near Todaiji and Kasuga Shrine in Nara, Japan, with an altitude of approximately 350 meters. Every spring and autumn, visitors can climb to the top of the mountain and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Nara. The most famous event at Mt. Wakakusa is the annual "Wakakusa Yamayaki" held in January. It is a traditional event that includes fireworks and the ritual burning of the mountain.

Opening hours
9:00-17:00, Kaimagi is from the third Saturday of March to the second Sunday of December every year. Closed from June 22 to September 11 and November 24 to March 19.
Transportation
It takes 10 to 15 minutes to walk from Todai-ji Temple and Kasuga Grand Shrine to the foot of Mount Wakakusa.
