Introduction

Sennichimae Doguyasuji Shopping Street is a specialty store that offers high-quality cooking tools and kitchenware. Osaka is famous for its reputation as the "Kitchen of the World," and its chefs are highly skilled professionals. These professionals visit the stores in Sennichimae Doguyasuji Shopping Street to select various tools they need. The street was originally formed in 1882 and extended from Hassenji Sennichimae to Shitennōji Gobōmae and the route to Imamiya Ebisu Shrine. It was initially formed by a gathering of tool shops and general stores. During the Taisho period, the street gradually became a specialty store for wholesale and manufacturing. After World War II in 1970, the arcade was added, and the length of the street reached 150 meters. October 9th is "Dogu Day," and on this day, the shops hold the "Doguyasuji Festival," offering various discounts and promotions. In recent years, the street has attracted many students on school trips from various places through activities such as freshly baked takoyaki and food-making experiences.
