Introduction

A highly acclaimed building, the Church of Light is one of the masterpieces by renowned architect Tadao Ando. It is located on a quiet residential street in Kasugaoka, Ibaraki, Osaka, Japan. Inside the church, there is a simple "Cross of Light" and no other crosses. One of the architectural features is a large cross-shaped slit window on the church wall. On the first floor, there is also a model of the Church of Light created by the Tadao Ando Architect & Associates in 1988. Visits to the church require prior appointment and can be made by checking the availability on the church's official website. Sunday worship services also require advance booking. Visiting hours are from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Reservations can be submitted through the English version of the church's website, and a confirmation email will be received upon successful booking. Please note that inquiries via phone or email are not accepted. Furthermore, visitors are not allowed to arrive at the church by car.
