Introduction

The Osaka Kaiyukan Aquarium, located at Osaka Tempozan, is a large aquarium loved by foreign tourists. The aquarium features 14 huge tanks showcasing nearly 620 species and over 30,000 marine creatures. It accurately reproduces the natural environments of the Pacific Ring of Fire and the Pacific Ring of Life. Visitors start by taking an elevator to the 8th floor and then walk through the 10 different areas on a slope to see various marine creatures. The most popular area in the aquarium is the whale shark exhibit, and there is also a life-size model of a whale shark for visitors to take photos with. If you want to re-enter the aquarium, you need to go through the re-entry procedure. Since the tickets can be a bit expensive, it is recommended to purchase a combination ticket with a ride on the Santa Maria ship.
