Introduction

Chakenoen is a cherry blossom garden in Japan, which is not well known. It is a privately operated garden that charges admission only during the cherry blossom season. The cherry blossoms usually bloom between March 21st and April 25th. The garden spans about 4000 tsubo (Japanese unit of land measurement) and features mainly double-petaled weeping cherry trees, as well as beautiful Fugenzo cherry trees. Bringing alcohol and food is prohibited due to its private nature, but visitors can pre-order bento boxes and enjoy them at designated areas within the garden. Of course, the breathtaking scenery is not to be missed.
