Introduction

Kyoto Gyoen is a national park located in Kamigyo-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan. It covers an area of 63 hectares and is centered around the Kyoto Imperial Palace. The park is surrounded by Imadegawa Street (north), Karasuma Street (west), Marutamachi Street (south), and Teramachi Street (east). Within the park, there are royal buildings such as the Kyoto Imperial Palace, Sento Imperial Palace, and Kyoto Daigongosho, as well as the Imperial Household Agency Kyoto Office and the Imperial Palace Police Headquarters, among other related agencies. There are also sports fields and tennis courts for the general public to enjoy leisure activities. Kyoto Gyoen has a long history and has always been one of the favorite recreational spots for the citizens of Kyoto.
