Introduction
Maruyama Park is located in Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto City, and is designated as a national scenic spot. This park is adjacent to popular attractions such as Higashiyama, Yasaka Shrine, Kiyomizu Temple, and Chion-in Temple. The park is famous for its "Gion Shidare Sakura" (weeping cherry tree). Originally part of Yasaka Shrine, the park features a picturesque Japanese-style garden designed by Ogawa Jihei, as well as an open-air music hall and bronze statues of Sakamoto Ryoma and Nakao Teppei.
