Introduction

Sanzen-in, located in Ohara, Sakyo-ku, Kyoto, Japan, is a Tendai Buddhist temple, known as "Fish Mountain". Its main deity is Yakushi Nyorai (Bhaisajyaguru) and it was founded by Saicho (also known as Dengyo Daishi). It has been the seat of several Tendai sect leaders, earning it the titles of "Sanzen-in's lineage" and "Kajii lineage". Together with Seiryo-ji and Myoshin-ji, it is considered one of the "Three Lineages" of the Tendai sect.

Take the Kyoto Bus Route 17 from JR Kyoto Station to Ohara, and walk 10 minutes to reach your destination. From Kyoto Subway Station, take the 19 Route Kyoto Bus to Ohara after transferring to the International Conference Hall Stop, and walk 10 minutes.
