Introduction

Nachi Falls is located in Nachikatsuura town, Higashimuro District, Wakayama Prefecture, Japan, and is a famous waterfall in the world with a height of 133 meters and a width of 13 meters. Along with the Kegon Falls and the Fukuroda Falls, it is one of Japan's three great waterfalls. There are more than 60 streams of various sizes in the Nachi Mountains, and Nachi Falls originally referred to a collective name for all the waterfalls in the Nachi Mountains, including 48 waterfalls used for ascetic training. Generally, the term Nachi Falls refers specifically to the waterfall of the Nachi Mountains, also known as Nachi-dai.
