Introduction

One of the well-preserved and respected temples in Kuala Lumpur, Guang Zhao Association's Guan Di Temple has a long history and convenient transportation. It is also one of the precious ancient buildings in Kuala Lumpur. This ancient temple is dedicated to Guan Yu, who is revered as a model of loyalty, trust, righteousness, and courage. In Chinese history, temples commemorating his deeds are built in various regions, and the temple still attracts continuous worshippers. After decades of weathering, the temple became dilapidated. In order to protect and restore this cultural landmark, a large-scale restoration project was carried out in 1994, which lasted for two years and was finally completed. Today, this temple remains an important tourist attraction in Kuala Lumpur.
