Introduction

Chinatown, also known as Petaling Street or China Town, has become a commercial district mainly operated by foreign laborers, selling various counterfeit branded goods. In addition to shopping, there are also local authentic snacks and tourist souvenirs available here. The area becomes especially lively at night, with Jalan Hang Lekir and Jalan Sultan being well-known night markets and gathering places for various food stalls. The Cultural Street in the Chinatown area, using pre-war shophouses, has been refurbished into cafes, bars, themed restaurants, folk song restaurants, bookstores, tea houses, etc., injecting more artistic atmosphere into the place. Local people also take wedding photos against the unique graffiti on these shophouses, leaving behind special memories.
