Introduction

Korean Folk Village, loved by Koreans and foreign tourists, covers an area of about 99 hectares and perfectly recreates the daily life and culture of different classes in late Joseon period. The Folk Village consists of a Folk Custom Scenic Area with over 260 traditional houses and more than 30,000 pieces of folk materials, including farmhouses, residences, official houses, academies, herbal medicine shops, private schools, blacksmith's shops, market streets, and upper-class homes, providing visitors with an opportunity to deeply understand the lives of people during the Joseon period. The Museum Zone and Market Street display a variety of traditional foods, crafts, and souvenirs, allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in the vivid history and culture of Joseon. In addition, the Folk Village also provides various service facilities such as youth hostels, car theaters, restaurants, baby carriage and disabled vehicle rental stations, luggage storage, temporary police stations, and simple post offices. During vacation periods, the Folk Village also organizes various folk games and activities, such as jumping boards, spinning tops, and swinging, making visitors feel like they have traveled back in time to the Joseon period.
