Oil Tank Culture Park
In 1978, the Seoul city government built the Mapo Oil Depot to meet the demand for stable oil supply during emergency periods. For the past 41 years, citizens have been completely prohibited from entering and using the site. In 2013, the city government selected it as one of the urban regeneration areas. After two years of construction, the depot has transformed into a comprehensive cultural green space, including a performance hall, an outdoor theater, a community center, and other cultural facilities.
