Introduction
Located in Incheon, South Korea, Freedom Park was originally called Universal Park and later renamed West Park by the Japanese army, with East Park being used as a Shinto shrine. On October 3, 1957, a bronze statue of General Douglas MacArthur was erected here to commemorate his command of the Incheon Landing. Since then, the park has been renamed Freedom Park.
