Introduction

The Bank of Korea main building houses the Currency Museum, established in 1912. It is one of the rare preserved modern architecture from the 20th century in Seoul. The museum showcases over 3,500 exhibits on the development and evolution of currency, from ancient to modern times. It also features unique currencies, such as "arrow coins" that could be used as arrowheads in times of crisis. The museum's interactive area is also enjoyable for children, with puzzles and stamp printing activities, showcasing ancient and beautiful patterns.

Open from Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00-17:00
closed on Mondays and during the Spring Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, Labor Day on May 1st, and from December 29th to January 2nd.

You can choose to take Metro Line 2 to the Municipal Government Station and then walk for about 10 minutes after exiting from Exit 7; take Metro Line 2 to the Yizhi Road Entrance Station and then walk for about 10 minutes after exiting from Exit 7; or take Metro Line 4 to the Huixian Station and then walk for about 10 minutes after exiting from Exit 7.
