Introduction

Seoul City Hall is the administrative office of the Seoul Metropolitan Government, responsible for handling various government affairs. It is located on Taepyeong-ro in the city center, adjacent to City Hall Station, with convenient transportation. The construction of the building started in 2008 and includes a multifunctional hall and cultural facilities that are open to the public. There is a skybridge connecting the new and old city halls. The new city hall officially opened on August 27, 2012, and government departments moved in and began operations on September 1. The old city hall is designated as a national cultural property and has been converted into the Seoul Metropolitan Library, open to the public.
