Introduction

Embroidery Workshop of Han Sang Soo was established in the fall of 2005, with the aim of researching and developing the embroidery works of Mr. Han Sang Soo, the 80th Important Intangible Cultural Heritage of South Korea. The workshop has collected a large number of embroidery artifacts and showcases related folk items, work explanations, conservation efforts, research records, and educational materials. Based on this, the workshop delves into the cultural significance of spiritual thoughts, aesthetic consciousness, and techniques from different eras, as well as the exchange between different cultures and their impact on society. The goal of the workshop is to disseminate research findings and the essence of embroidery art, and to promote the inheritance and creative activities of traditional craftsmanship.
