Introduction
Caozhou Peony Garden is a large-scale garden scenic spot that integrates culture, sightseeing, and ecology. It is located about 10 kilometers southeast of the city center of Heze City, Shandong Province, China. The garden covers an area of 1570 acres and has over 4000 acres of peony flower seas, making it one of the largest peony gardens in northern China.
The garden has more than 1000 varieties of peonies, which are collected in the "Chinese Flower Atlas". The variety is diverse, the colors are gorgeous, and the quality is excellent. In the spring, various flowers such as crabapples, Chinese oil pines, peonies, and apricots bloom. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, visitors can come here to enjoy the flowers and take a walk, feeling the grandeur and tranquility of nature, making them feel comfortable and relaxed.
The garden also has the famous Longmen Grottoes. The grottoes are located on Longmen Mountain and have 78 well-preserved caves with exquisite artworks such as murals, reliefs, large and small Buddha statues, creating a spectacular and unique artistic landscape. The sculptural style of Longmen Grottoes is simple and natural, making it one of the representatives of early Buddhist art in China and known as one of the "Five Great Tang Dynasty Grottoes in North China".
In addition, there are many other attractions in the garden such as Guanyin Island and Putuo Luopu. There is a Nine-Curve Bridge on Guanyin Island, built in the Ming Dynasty, which connects 13 arch bridges and is in a semi-circular shape, full of quaint and cultural heritage. Putuo Luopu is located on the mountainside and is a small village carved from white marble, with elegant landscapes such as water pavilions, zen rooms, and rockeries.
Caozhou Peony Garden not only brings us the beauty of flowers but also the wonderful feeling of cultural and artistic integration. There are many artistic exhibits and performances that showcase Caozhou culture, such as folk art exhibitions and traditional cultural performances, allowing visitors to appreciate the charm and historical heritage of this ancient city.
In summary, whether it is the peonies in spring, Longmen Grottoes, Guanyin Island, Putuo Luopu, or Caozhou's traditional culture and folk art exhibits, they are the highlights and characteristics of Caozhou Peony Garden. Visitors can leave unforgettable memories here and draw inspiration from culture and nature. Address 1000 Renmin Road, Mudan Subdistrict, Mudan District, Heze, Shandong
