Introduction
An unfinished obelisk, measuring 41 meters long and weighing 1150 tons, is located in a quarry about 2 kilometers south of Aswan city. It is said to be the largest obelisk still existing in Egypt. Construction was halted due to cracks appearing on the monument, and it was left abandoned at its original site. Visitors to the quarry often stroll around the obelisk to experience the ancient construction process. According to research, this obelisk was likely built by the Egyptian queen Hatshepsut, and if completed, it would have been the tallest obelisk in all of Egypt.
