Introduction
Nanyang Wuhou Temple, located in the Xiwolonggang of Nanyang City, Henan Province, is one of the key cultural heritage protection units in China. According to legend, Zhuge Liang, the Chancellor of Shu Han, once farmed here, and a commemorative temple was built for him during the Wei and Jin periods. However, the temple was destroyed during the war in the Yuan Dynasty and was not restored until the Dade period. During the Kangxi reign, Luo Jing, the prefect of Nanyang, discovered stone carvings in the temple inscribed with the "Ten Scenic Spots of Wolonggang" by previous generations, so he rebuilt a semi-circular platform, Old Dragon Cave, Wild Cloud Nunnery, Grass Hut, Little Rainbow Bridge, Knee-embracing Stone, Farming Pavilion, Ancient Cypress Pavilion, Liangfu Rock, and Zhuge Well outside the temple, together with the mountain gate, main hall, Qingfeng Tower, Sangu Hall, Guan Zhang Hall, and stone archway, forming a magnificent ancient architectural complex. Nanyang Wuhou Temple also has a large number of inscriptions, among which Yue Fei's calligraphy in "Letter of Manifesto Before the War" is particularly elegant. The Grass Hut in the temple, located in the center of the backyard, is an octagonal thatched pavilion newly built by later generations on the site of Zhuge Liang's former residence. Its frontispiece was handwritten by Guo Moruo in 1973, the interior was written by the Inspector General of the Nationalist Government in 1940, and the back was written by Fu Fengju, the governor of Nanyang, in the 20th year of the Guangxu reign (1894). As for Little Rainbow Bridge, it is a small bridge made of green bricks in front of the Grass Hut. It is named for its resemblance to a rainbow and is said to be a place that Zhuge Liang often passed by. Address 766 Wolong Road, Wolong District, Nanyang City, Henan Province
