Introduction
Swallow Island is an uninhabited island off the southeast coast of Wanning City, Hainan Province, China, and the only known habitat for golden silk swallows in China. The island consists of two islands and three peaks, covering an area of about 4.36 square kilometers and with the highest peak reaching about 289 meters. Its vegetation includes yam, ginseng, dragon's blood tree and wild pepper, among others. Animal resources are also abundant, including pheasants, snakes, four-legged snakes, and various species of birds.
As a national marine nature reserve, Swallow Island is the largest uninhabited island along the coastline of Hainan. Besides natural scenery and wildlife, the island is also a tourist destination for observing the sea and landscapes. North Xiao Ling and South Da Ling are connected by a 500-meter-long beach, providing a beautiful setting with clear waters and varied marine life, suitable for activities such as diving, fishing, and photography. Transportation [High-speed Rail]
You can take the high-speed rail to Wanning Station, and then take a taxi to Xinqun Water Products Group in Xinqun Village, Dong'ao Town. From there, it takes about 15 to 20 minutes by boat to reach Dadzhou Island.
[Self-driving]
It takes about one and a half hours to drive from Sanya to Xinqun Wharf, and about two hours and twenty minutes to drive from Haikou to Xinqun Wharf.
