Introduction
Shitang Town is located in Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province, and was formed by the merger of Shitang, Ruoshan, and Diaobang towns. The area of this town is about 28.47 square kilometers, with a coastline of about 5.5 kilometers, a population of about 72,000 permanent residents, and jurisdiction over 60 administrative villages, 56 of which are pure fishing villages. The town was ranked 52nd among the top 100 most developed towns in Zhejiang Province in 2001, and has also won titles such as National Top 100 Comprehensive Strength Towns, Zhejiang Province Strong Education Towns, and Strong Sports Towns.
