Introduction
Shuilian Mountain Forest Park, located in Shuilian Community, Nancheng District, Dongguan City, is one of the six major forest parks in Dongguan, with a total area of approximately 6000 mu. The park has a pleasant climate, lush forests, and beautiful scenery, with the main peak rising to about 378 meters above sea level. Compared with the surrounding mountains, it is more elegant and charming due to its proximity to water. Formerly known as Pengao Mountain, Shuilian Mountain has become increasingly famous for its continuous mountains, waterfalls, springs, and lush trees that stretch for ten miles, attracting many famous scholars and leaving numerous poems and phrases, such as "Pengao Water Curtain is a beautiful scenery." According to historical materials such as the "Dongguan County Chronicles," there were originally temples and academies on the mountain, such as Xishan Temple, Dongshan Temple, Dongshan Academy, Guanyin Temple, Baiyi Temple, and Lüzu Temple, which have a long history and were once one of the "Eight Scenes of Dongguan" during the Ming Dynasty.
