Introduction

This ancient city has a history of 600 years and was built on a mountain while being adjacent to a seaport, thus known as "the city on the port, the mountain in the city". The city wall follows the mountain terrain, the city gates have different shapes, and the old houses are built in sequence, winding and hidden in the mountain valleys. One of the most striking features of Shipu Ancient City is its geographical advantage of controlling the port from a high ground, becoming a "key stronghold for sea defense" at that time. Tourists can visit characteristic venues related to fishing culture, merchant culture and sea defense culture, and can also experience the life of fishermen, weaving fishing nets, making fishing lamps, and more.
