Introduction

Sanhuang Village is located on the west foot of Shaoshi Mountain in Songshan, adjacent to Shaolin Scenic Area, and is part of the Shaolin Scenic Area. The ecological environment and geology here are unique, famous for their dangerous route, strange rocks, and beautiful and magnificent scenery. The Ming Dynasty traveler, Xu Xiake, once wrote such a poem: "Shaoshi is strange and not easy to get to. Without visiting Sanhuang Village, one cannot be considered a guest of Shaolin. Songshan is the wonder of the world." The forest here is lush and diverse, and the geological types are complete. The rocks are ancient and unique in structure, known as a "natural geological museum." There are over 40 natural landscapes, such as Shaoshi Qingxue, Shaoshi Luoji, Monkey Gazing at the Sky, Yunfeng Huxiao, and more than 10 cultural landmarks, such as Sanhuang Palace, Anyang Palace, Qingwei Palace, Qingliang Temple, Yuhuang Temple, Shaoshi Que, and Lianhua Temple. In addition, there are also scenic spots such as "Liantian Cable Bridge" and "Sanhuang Trail". The main peak of Sanhuang Village is 1512 meters above sea level, sitting on approximately 5 square kilometers of virgin forest, which is spectacular. In late autumn, the more than 20 square kilometers of maple forest in the scenic area gradually blooms, pleasing to the eye. In the winter, the entire scenic area is covered with white snow, like a silver cloth, making it more beautiful.
