Introduction

"The vast desert with lonely smoke, the long river with the setting sun round." This famous poem by Wang Wei comes from his work "Farewell to the Frontier". When passing through the Sha Po Tou, Wang Wei was deeply impressed by the vast desert and magnificent scenery of the Yellow River, which inspired him to write this poem. Looking into the distance from Wang Wei's observation deck, one can see the scattered smoke rising from the desert and the red sunset, which is exactly the scene described by Wang Wei.
